Soniq processes audio-session and media information locally on your device. Kynora Studio does not receive this information.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Soniq Volume Mixer handles information when you use the Windows application. Soniq is a local, device-based desktop application.
2. Information Accessed
To provide its volume controls, Soniq accesses local audio-session information, including application names, volume levels, and mute states.
To provide media controls, Soniq may access media-session metadata, including track titles, artist names, playback status, and album artwork.
3. How Information Is Used
Audio-session and media information is processed locally on your device only to display and operate Soniq's volume and playback controls. Soniq does not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share this information with Kynora Studio or any third party.
4. Local Storage
Application preferences, theme settings, display duration, startup
preference, and process exclusions are stored locally under
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Soniq.
Soniq does not use online accounts, cloud storage, advertising, analytics, telemetry, or external data services.
5. Permissions
Soniq does not request access to your microphone, camera, location, contacts, or personal files. Its desktop and global media-control capabilities are used only for Core Audio controls, media-key handling, system-tray integration, and Windows media sessions.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Local settings remain on your device while Soniq is installed. You can
stop information processing by exiting the application. Uninstalling
Soniq removes the packaged application; you may also delete the
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Soniq folder to remove any remaining local
preferences.
7. Children
Soniq does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users because it does not transmit user information to Kynora Studio.
8. Security
Soniq minimizes privacy risk by processing its operational information locally and not transmitting it to Kynora Studio or third parties. Users remain responsible for securing their Windows account and device.
9. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated when application behavior, Microsoft Store requirements, or legal obligations change. The revision date at the top identifies the latest version.
